Yern for the days of the classic Settlers? I've got you covered: (Warning - the beta was bad, I try to explain it as much as possible but it's choppy, slow and hard to watch!) There's also a feature called 'Active Pause' where the player can pause the combat to reassess the battle and command their heroes to change target, spam their spells.

For example, every single unit in the game has an elemental alignment, allowing them to deal more damage to a unit with an opposing elemental alignment, but also receiving extra damage from units with a different alignment, like a blood thirsty game of rock-paper-scissors. The Bluebyte team, lead by Creative Director Mihnea Dragoman, have decided that if they're going to focus on a hero-based Real Time Strategy, they had better focus hard on that strategy element! From what I can tell from the announcement trailer along with the accompanying blog post and open letter to the community, they have really worked on tactics and strategy. (They say the Settlersįranchise hasn't been cancelled completely though, so here's hoping for a real Settlers 8!) The Champions of Anteria was announced this week after 15 months in hiding! Listening to the 'constructive feedback' from the Settlers: Kingdoms of Anteria closed Beta, Ubisoft and the Blue Byte team have decided to abandon the 'Settlers' aspect of the game, and focus much more on the RTS elements they tried to introduce in the Kingdoms of Anteria.
